The Mesa County Safety Fair is an annual event held at the Mesa Mall in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Safety Fairs are normally held
for two consecutive days in the last two weeks of February through first two weeks of March on an annual basis. Timing of fair
dates vary year to year to accommodate attendee, participant and Mall schedules.
There is no cost for admission or
participation.
MCSC targets its safety messages mainly to grade school, 2nd and 4th graders, as this is a time of great wonder
and an excellent opportunity to get the safety awareness thought process moving in the minds of the children.
Busing
is provided by the MCSC and our generous donors and volunteers to safely get the children, teachers and parent volunteers from
their respective schools to the Mall and back. Home schoolers are also encouraged to attend and are accompanied by parents and staff
of those entities. The Safety Fair sees a wide variety of visitors from the very young to the elderly and all are encouraged
to participate in the fun, interesting and safety themed packed activities our fair has to offer.
